The Clutch Series is inspired by JanSport’s founding story of its first 1967 headquarters above Uncle Norm’s transmission shop in Seattle. That origin represents a legacy of durability and authenticity that was established when co-founders Murray, Jan, and Skip set up their first workshop in the space –– setting the foundation that continues to define our brand today.
